Government Grants For College

Can government grants for college be taken back?
Definitely.
Usually you have to be a full time student to get the whole amount. If you are a full time student, you take the loan, and then you drop a class, then you have to pay back part of the loan immediately. Usually you have to be a “Student in good standing” so if you got on academic or disciplinary probation then you could lose your grant.
Keep your scholarship by doing a good job in your classes and getting decent grades. Talk to your financial counselor before you drop a class.
Good Luck

University Lottery

Is Junior degree(2 years study in university) accepted for continuing education in the USA?
I have high school degree but in my country the duration of study in vocational school is 3 years.so i studied 11 Years to get the high school degree. Then I went to the university and got the Junior degree in accounting.that means duration of my study is totally 13 years.Am I eligible to register in the USA universities or green card lottery programs? and can i change my major regarding that my high school degree is accounting?
Mahroo, I’m not a US citizen so know little of their University rules.
However, I do know that every university has a website and contact details provided.
You can usually email them with queries directly from their site.
It will just require you to Google the universities in the area you will be living (or wish to be).
Be sure to check out their FAQs – the information you require may already be there.
As for the Diversity Visa Program – eligibility to apply depends on if you were born in an eligible country.
You will find information on it here:

Also, check out the US State Department’s website for Visa’s for education purposes:

People’s politician Michael A. O’Pake remembered
Never before and likely never again will Berks County have as staunch a political advocate as the late state Sen. Michael A. O’Pake.

Merit Scholarships

Boarding School Full Merit Scholarships?
I am interested in applying to a boarding school for 10th grade in the 2010-2011 school year. However, in order to attend one, I’d need a full merit scholarship (I qualify for varying amounts of financial aid depeding on the school but don’t want to rely on that). Do you know of any boarding schools (coed or girls’) that offer full merit scholarships to incoming 10th graders? Thank you!
universities.atwebpages.com – try this site. It has info about different US scholarships for college students and their grades requirements.

University Student Grants

What are the best UK websites to find out about nonrepayable grants for students starting university?
i’ve seen direct gov, but wondered if there were any more? I remember seeing an advert on tv recently but cant remember the website that mentioned. any ideas of good urls?
http://www.studentfinancedirect.co.uk/
Student Finance Direct is a good start as you apply through them to get your loans etc. If you’re on EMA you can get up to £2835 non repayable grant. The might not be the exact figure, I can’t remember that exact amount but it’s on a sliding scale and depends on household income.

Federal Education Grants

What schools honor the Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)?
I can’t find this information on the FAFSA website or on the FSEOG website. It just says only 4000 schools participate. Which ones, if any one knows, participate?
I think the University of Colorado participates in this.
